for the back story- kiley's good friend from school jordan, invited her to come live in seattle for the summer. her dad has a house there that no one is living in and he is trying to sell. he told jordan she could come live there for the summer and work. so kiley, her friend chelsea and jordan are going to live just outside downtown seattle for the summer. we are hoping she can find a job, she tried really hard on line with no success, they just need to see her smile in person! i am really excited for her, despite the crying during the prayer for matt's birthday dinner. it's just hard to see her go for 3 1/2 months again. i think it is so great though that she gets to have these experiences to travel to different places, experience somewhere different and be independent. and this one didn't even cost us much, she had frequent flyer miles to get her there and there is no rent, she just needed a little start up money! i really want to go see her there but we'll just see how things are going for her, how bored i get this summer and how much matt's bike costs! she is probably smarter than me and packed warm clothes, it is cold here! well, it's in the 60s which I think is crazy for june, but that is supposed to be normal here.
She's lucky to be able to travel and experience beyond this little rock.
She is amazing---I could never have done all the things she has---It seems like yesterday you guys were holding her in your arms in my parents swimming pool (babysitting me and my rugrat siblings!)---Wow how time flies!
you are so lucky to have a daughter like ki. she should travel as much as she can now cause once you have kids, it's a little harder. what an amazing experience to see all that she has seen. amazing.
wow, thats so great for her! i envy people like her and my husband. been to so many places, seen so many different things, and ive never even left the united states! and my chances of doing that are even more rare now because i have little children. *sigh*
oh well. i'll go somewhere at least once.....someday!
kelly! that is so funny. I was pretty stressed out in the mall yesterday, my kids were running ahead of me and one was successful at pouring sprite down my leg. sooo fun.
I really like that mall because it is right off the freeway and maybe a ten minute drive north from my place. where is kiley staying???
Kiley has turned out to be such a beautiful young women, not that I had expected any different. It is so surreal to think back over her life. I am so happy and excited for her, she really knows how to live and make the most of every opportunity.
