is it where you are
where you grew up
where you are from
or where you move to
i think it is where family is
kiley spent christmas in california, scotty was home but ki missed home
we really missed ki being home
caleb missed home in utah but when he came home, he is never home
i think he misses the comfort of home, his friends and surroundings
matt and i spent christmas alone, then i missed home
when i told matt he said, you are home, i said i mean the other home, st. louis.
i think basically home is where your heart is. where you long to be.
tonight we are celebrating christmas and my kids will be home, then my heart will be here, at home!

I've felt this exact way too!! This Christmas I went to Utah, which has never been home, but for my family, this is their new home :( I missed being in Hawaii, but home is where my family is, so I guess for this winter home for me was Christmas :) I hope my kids grow up to be cool like yours Aunty Kelly!
I know what you mean. I was fortunate to have my parents and all of my children here at some point during Christmas this year. I can't imagine not knowing that we can always be together.
I actually kept that all straight! It is feeling more like home here in Texas. We sat Christmas morning thinking of that has changed for us this year, hard to keep track of all our blessings.
Amen.
Actually for me this Christmas was so beautiful because for the first time since mom died, (she died right after christmas and all of her lights, trees were still up)...I have been able to give all that sadness to Christ and truly be present for my family...the last few years I just sort of tried to get through...get it over with, but this Christmas I truly celebrated...grateful to my redeemer for helping me find true faith and joy.
It was for me, the best Christmas ever.
My heart goes out to you...I just can't imagine Christmas without a full house.
I like Christmas up here, because it's the whole "white christmas" deal, but I MISS Christmas in Hawaii. It just feels more like Christmas for me.
