my friend marj wanted to give kiley a baby shower. she did a lot for kiley's wedding and i was so excited for a baby shower but i wanted to help this time! i think i was more excited than kiley. i got to see everything marj was doing. she would tell me what she wanted and i would order it or make it. everything looked SOOO cute. we had a lot of little helpers as usual. everyone is so generous!
thanks marj, jen, joy, sina and dawn!! i can't thank you enough for all your work!
i have been making things for the baby and forgot to take pictures of any of them so right before the shower i unwrapped the bag and took quick pics on the floor of a few of the things.
this is a little lovey blanket. i got this fabric in utah and it is so cheerful and cute!
these are wooden blocks that i put scrapbook paper and numbers and letters on. they are really cute! i made a drawstring bag for them to go in. i also made her the cloth diapers with material on them and another bag for diapers and wipes i just forgot to take pictures of them!
scotty and kiley also wanted to make something for their little girl so scotty shaped a baby surfboard. it is completely real just like a real board. they painted it then he brought it here to finish it to surprise her. we found a font on the computer, he made a little stencil and put her name on it. it is adorable!!
she arrived for the shower before we knew it so she got to see if before the shower.
then it was time to head down to my friend dawn's house. marj had everything done so amazingly cute. she wouldn't let me help set up so that it was all a surprise. from the driveway in things were awesome!
she made these signs and used crackle paint to make them look beachy. this was one of my favorites!! i think it will be hanging in her room when they are able to move to a bigger house!
you can click on it to make it bigger but this was my second favorite. a "surf themed" baby announcement!
these were the favors. i used the little white buckets from kiley's wedding. i guess i ordered way too many, i still have about 10 left!! they looked cute though with salt water taffy and marj's adorable sand filled trays!
i made banners with marj's cricut that said little surfer girl and welcome baby ellie!
i bought little things to make a surf clothesline. my mom sent the bikini onesie!
the present table!
i got wailua soda's. a very beachy drink! ( a local town)
sina did the fabulous dessert table and marj made the awesome display behind!
there was so much food and my friends did all they could to make gluten free things for kiley to eat!
the yogurt bar! i made little chocolate mousses and mini fruit pizzas. there were beach cupcakes and slipper nutter butters!
can't forget the fun pink and white striped straws, i loved them!
i did not take nearly enough pictures of the friends there but got one of debbie and paige
and kiley's friends, bethany, carrie and jen (on the right) who is due in Nov.!
there were so many presents to open that we decided to skip the games, it took her 45 min.!
there were clothes of course, onesies for the rest of her life...
bouncer seats
sarah and sas had the cutest idea. they gave her a laundry hamper and inside was a clothesline of everything imaginable, dress, shoes, blanket, bibs, onesies etc...!
it just kept coming and coming out of the basket!
my friend Nana makes these rag quilts that are soooo cute! kiley is so lucky she made one for her. the material was so sweet and it has the minky squares on the back. ellie will not be lacking for things to cuddle with!
my friend sam and her 11 year old daughter made this blanket for kiley. it was Mia's summer project. isn't that so sweet?!!
kiley's friend carrie just went to mexico and brought the baby a little mexican dress, it is so funny!
maggie and abby sent an outfit made out of bamboo. it is so cute and feels so silky and comfortable! also a toy and our favorite book, goodnight moon!
grandma kathy sent her famous afghan. the grandkids all have had them. such a tradition.
my sister sent a box with an organic baby book and lots of cute clothes. there was a NB dress that was so cute i didn't even take a picture because we were all ooohing over it!
this was from jill too. ellie now has 5 bathing suits one cuter than the next!
my mom sent a ton of clothes and some slippers and tiny little shoes. this child is going to be the best dressed baby on oahu!
lots of polo outfits and surf themed outfits that were so cute! so at this point she has to be named ellie and has to love surfing like her daddy!
the shower was awesome. she got diapers, nail clippers, a boppy, swaddle blankets everything she needs!
so grateful for good friends that came and made the shower possible.
kiley has 3 weeks left but her dr. thinks she's getting close. we are all so excited to meet her!!

Thanks for all the pics...I hate that we weren't there, but at least we could "see" her open the gifts. Glad she liked everything and got lots of things she needed. Can't wait for Ellie to get here and meet her in person!!!
Wow! What an awesome shower! Kiley is so loved, as will her new baby. I like the name Ellie Kai; it's adorable! And I'm very impressed with all the things you made, Kelly! You go girl!
