on pinterest i saw a 21 day organization challenge and it looked easy enough that i thought i'd try it.
you see i am usually pretty organized but i have gotten lazy lately.
we put an offer on a house, it was accepted but since it is a short sale, we have been waiting forever to find out when we get it! we knew it would take up to 6 months but we are about there and still all we know is that the bank does have the offer. anyway back to the organization. i guess i have my eyes somewhere else. i have been getting lots of ideas for what i would want to do in the new house and am now sick of this house! i know i need to keep it clean so that if we do get the word that we're moving it's not so overwhelming but i'm just not motivated. this was the perfect list to get me going.
i started yesterday and have done a great job!
here is the list if you need something to get you in gear:
day 1-junk drawer
2-computer desk
3-tupperware cabinet
4-linen closet
5-under kitchen sink
6-the pantry
7-kids rooms
8- laundry room
9-the freezer
10-spice cabinet
11-medicine cabinet
12-under bathroom sinks
13-closet (1) you choose, bedroom, bathroom, hall
14-the fridge
15-closet (2) whatever you have left
(the next are my own add what you need to clean out)
16- side of couch
17-outdoor closet
18-front closet
19-under stairs
20-lanai
21-entry counter
there were ones that didn't apply to me so i added the ones that did. my areas that attract clutter.
only do what will take you an hour to both get out and put back so it's not overwhelming. throw away things that are broken or old, and donate things you won't use. organize the rest with baskets, bins etc.
this is working well for me breaking it down day by day!

What a great idea! So excited for you about the new house -- I hope it works out for you. Where is it?
lani, it is a few streets up, near hanalani.
Good on Aunty! I definitely need to start on this too. I have way too much junk, and sometimes I become a hoarder. What a great challenge!
oh kelly
how wonderful to catch up on your little breath of heaven....it somehow makes holding on to life more meaningful to see such raw beauty...undiluted and unsensored.....what a proud mama you must be! I mean grandma...but it makes me feel old to have a besty that is a grandma:)
