new years eve 2011!

we just stayed at home on new years eve. i can't think of anywhere i would really enjoy going with a thousand people and with a 4 month old baby your options are limited so we just decided to do food and games at home.

                    we had a blongo ball tournament. scotty and matt get a little competitive

 we had to pass ellie to whoever was waiting for their turn, then baxter kept getting in the way so cabe took both of them!

                                      we put ellie in her bumbo where she was happy for a while

then it was time to eat

 we just had an appetizer feast. veggie pizza, chocolate fondue, shrimp cocktail, spinach dip, cheesy potato rounds,little smokies, spam musubi's and a cheese ball, salami, veggie plate!

 i saw these on pinterest, so easy and yummy. slice a washed potato thinly drizzle with olive oil and salt cook at 350 for about 20min. or until fork tender then place on bacon and cheese and melt. we topped with sour cream and they were good! caleb is opening a non alcoholic lounge someday and he would like to serve these there!

 this is where he says, i think i'll serve these at my lounge! of course we had martinelli's and had a great dinner. everyone agrees it is cool just to eat fun food rather than a meal sometimes!
we all had to come up with a game, little did i know how open that left the evening!

 my game was a minute to win it game. move a cookie from your forhead to your mouth with only your facial muscles.

 pretty funny but fairly easy. i think an oreo would be better it has more texture than a chips ahoy!

 we played a game where you wrote down any random question on a piece of paper then folded it then passed it to the left and then wrote down the answer to your question. pass it to the left again and then read the answer with that question. pretty funny!
we played a charades type game trying to get as many  words as you can in 2 min. then it was scotty's game. i guess he thought we were frat boys in college but we had to play! the game involved~ don't judge!!! sticking a quarter in your booty, walking to a mug and dropping it in. whoever got the most scores out of 3 times won! i was of course skeptical of said quarter in said place but we have never laughed so hard!! there were techniques going on and the ding when it hit the mug had us rolling!!!

scotty brings a whole new element to a game party! who needs a wii or x box?!! we really had a great night. caleb of course left to go celebrate midnight with friends but really wanted to stay for games!
fireworks were supposed to be illegal this year but it didn't seem to stop anyone. it was crazy and extremely loud for about an hour which is better than  previous years of all day and night but ellie and baxter were not fans!
what's to come in this new year of 2012?! should be interesting!
