House update

so it's been a long time since i've updated things but my family came to visit, we moved, matt has been out of town i got bronchitis, a sinus infection and what the dr. thought was pneumonia it's been a rough couple weeks, or month! at least the kitchen got done- well the contractors got their part done!

 matt hung this light above the sink. we really like it, it spreads the light around the kitchen. we have to decide about the other light that hangs directly over the kitchen, we're thinking ceiling fan since it's pretty hot when the dishwasher or the oven is on.

 the granite came and got installed. i'm really happy with it. i like the contrast with the white cabinets

 our appliances came, new fridge, oven and dishwasher. i really like how they look but they are all so different than the rent grade appliances we had i'm not sure i fully know how to use them all yet.

 it is really hard to take a good picture of the kitchen since it is backlit by a sliding glass door. i'll try again when its more decorated.

 i think this is my favorite part. i have 2 really wide drawers and they are all organized! i love things organized!!

 the kitchen still needs a light, paint and little touches to make it cute but right now things are still being worked on and it's still pretty dusty so i don't want to put those things in until it's all finished.

 isaac and sarah came and tiled the guest bathroom and installed the toilet. it is really nice it has those two buttons on top, you push the small one for #1 and the large one for #2 :)
matt installed the vanity, painted the walls and put the baseboards in. now we just have to patch a hole, hang the mirror, hang towel bars and toilet paper roll holder and i am making the shower curtain so almost done there~ or it seemed like it before that list!
There is so much more to do and we are waiting on some things to be able to do other things. the doors come on the 24th so when those are installed we can do the tile in the laundry room. we have baseboards in every room, painting every surface of the house! and doing the master bathroom! so basically nothing will be posted for another month!!

she is 7 months old and has a sense of humor! she can play patty cake and say mama and dada! she starts to crawl on her belly and is loving having her own room in their new house that they are renting in encinitas. she is the cutest little thing!!
