Robbed!

So we got robbed today. Ki has a bone problem in her foot so we had to go to the dr., first they shot her with dye and then we had to hang out for 4 hours and then they had to do a bone scan. caleb came home after school and called and said the house had been robbed. imagine my horror-i quickly started asking if things were there like the computer and t.v. obvious things someone would steal. the t.v. was on the table and the computer was unhooked but both were still there so she was trying with those. she went all through my drawers and closet and through our bathroom, she stood on the t.p. holder and broke it off. she took ALL of my jewelry. most of it just costume stuff but things i have collected from places or necklaces bought to match an outfit. she also stole my pearl that our dear friend jon bought for me in tahiti and that nikki had mounted and gave me as a gift. she took EVERYTHING of ki's. her 2 cameras, purses, sunglasses, jewelry. a really special ring i bought her in maui and one i bought her in arizona. things that are irreplacable. the WORST is that she hadn't done anything with her spain pictures yet so they were all either on her camera or laptop which they stole. you can imagine HOW sick she is and we all feel for her. there is not a thing we can do. the police came, 6 officers searched and fingerprinted our house and made a report of stolen goods. i am grateful no one was home, that baxter was o.k. and that our big stuff was left but other than that it sucks and you feel violated. my neighbor came home from work, went to get the mail and saw a girl running from our gate. she just shoved everything in a bag -from me- and ran. thank goodness she came home but she didn't know she had just robbed our house. they can sometimes recover things like cameras and computers b/c they try to sell them but the little stuff will never be found and can't be replaced. caleb only had all of his hats stolen and nothing of matt's and he has really nice watches. i guess it was a girl looking for stuff for her. who knows!? little bit of a stomach ache tonight!
