Personal progress night

for a few months i have been planning a personal progress night for the young women of the stake. it was fun planning but this week ended up being a little crazy and i couldn't wait for my activity to get here!

the young women were supposed to come in anything P so there was a lot of pink, purple and plaid pajamas!

i gave a talk on personal progress. why we do it and what it can help the young women acheive. i had pictures of some of my girls that i had in young women that are now married, graduated from college and mothers. showing the girls where they will be in 5 years or so. the blank picture frame in the middle is for them to picture themselves! it was really cute!
Pres. clark also talked to the girls about how much time they can invest in their personal progress and still get it done with all of the other things they have going on.
i planned 3 activities for them to do after the talks.
one was painting their fingernails in the value colors to remind them to do their personal progress and to live the young women values.
 they had fun with it!
then we had them make a craft. i printed out pictures of the temple, painted 5x7 boards black and then they glued them on and tied on a ribbon

they also had a goal station, writing down their goals for the week, the month and the year
then we had P desserts, pie and popsicles. the chocolate haupia pie is missing from the picture, i bought a ton of pies and we had 3 pieces left. girls can eat!
i think i also had over 50 popsicles those were cleaned out!
                                               hanging out eating
the example for the temple craft
we had about 75 people there, about 60 young women. it was a great activity that i think the girls enjoyed. can't wait to do it again next year:) (one year from now!!!)
marj, jen and kepa, thanks for the help!
