Matt's parents tim and kathy came to visit for a week and i was terrible about taking pictures!
our niece maggie just came to BYUH this fall and so they wanted to spend some time with her and were up on n. shore a lot so i didn't really get pictures but one day we did go to ko'olina to go snorkeling. there is this little cove we like to go to but you have to walk through water to get to it, then there is another cove right by it. matt and his dad put on flippers, snorkels, and masks to go in this little cove but tim loves snorkeling. they went over to the small cove and wanted to come back but couldn't walk through the shallow water with their fins on so they crawled. kathy and i sat on the beach laughing and taking pictures. they looked ridiculous but didn't seem to care. this is really not to embarrass tim but it is just too funny
we hung out, went to menchies, ate at opal's with the girls and had sunday dinner. i thought it would be fun to make caramel apples but it has been so hot it didn't exactly turn out. we dipped the apples in the caramel and put them on wax paper to dry. in 2 min. there was a pool of caramel on the paper. we cut the apples and ate them with the pooled caramel which we should have done in the first place.i had gotten a pumpkin on mon. at the pumpkin patch and set it on my table with some fall leaves. tim was sitting at the table and thought what is that fuzzy stuff, he lifted the pumpkin to find a nice fuzzy mat of mold! i picked up the pumpkin and it was totally soft and rotten. it is determined it is too hot in oct. for fall!! luckily the mornings have been cooler hopefully it will cool off a little bit soon.
it was nice to have tim and kathy here. tim loves to sit and talk about anything and kathy keeps her hands busy all the time, crocheting, which i never saw the finished doilie she was making.
we didn't do much entertaining but it was nice just to have them here.
