Rain,rain, go away!

i have nothing exciting to post because it has been raining for the last 3 days. it has caused power outages, floods, downed telephone poles that have caused people to be stuck for 4 hours in traffic or to turn around. some teachers couldn't come to work on thurs. due to flooding or mudslides on the road. this is a small island and things can devastate it pretty easily. i have had a terrible cold along with matt so we have been sitting inside, sick with it pouring rain. how do people live in climates like this. this is winter in Hawaii but it has been pretty crazy. at least today it started out not raining so matt and i forced ourselves to get baxter out for a walk which was a good idea b/c it has rained most of the rest of the day. there are worse things to complain about, i know.

we leave in 6 days for Utah, something to look forward to but then it will be cold!! also ki moves back home today until Fri. when we all leave :)
