well it's back to school for both matt and I. summer's over! our "school's" however are very different. i went back to work at uka elementary. i got an EA position (educational assistant) in the lower grade special ed. i go into classrooms where students are mainstreamed and help them to understand the work or keep up. i am working with 3 1st grade boys and really liking it! if a position opens up in preschool they will let me know but for now they didn't have a need. i miss my kids and often go by to see them and get hugs and the ones who graduated to kindergarten i get to see at lunch. the teachers really appreciate me helping out and the one who i spend the most time in her room has recruited me for more help with the class so that's fun too! happy to be back at work.
matt however applied to get his doctorate. he was accepted at Loyola in chicago! we are not moving! he will do everything on line and then travel to chicago several times a year to school. hopefully he can coordinate those trips with his anesthesia board trips or he will be in chicago a lot! i am hoping i can tag along on one of the trips so we can get together with friends and go home to st. louis this year! he is just never content where he's at, always working toward something else, i on the other hand am happy with my little job and doing some little crafts at home, you gotta have balance in a marriage you know!
it was a good summer!!
