a new tag

i haven't seen a tag in forever and i think their fun. i wanted to post even though i don't think anyone reads my blog anymore... hello are you out there? except for my mom! hi mom! she has her own new computer now and can check blogs anytime she wants!

anyway here's the tag~

where did you grow up?

i grew up in st. louis, Mo. in the same house my entire life until i left for college and then got married. i love st. louis. i don't know if i'll ever live there again in my life but it will always be home. that house is now gone but i have great memories of it!

favorite childhood game?

playing. i know that' s not a technical game but we played a lot. i don't think kids even know what playing is these days (that makes me sound old!) i loved dolls. we made doll houses and barbie clothes. we made up plays and wandered the farm we lived on. "we" consisted of my siblings and our neighbors amy, jennifer, emily and sometimes even john, who had spina bifida.

we swang from ropes and played in the hayloft. and my favorite activity was just swinging on the tree swing.

your go to "drug" of choice?

that's Dr. Pepper for sure. i wish it wasn't but it is my one indulgence.

your guilty indulgence?

T.V. for sure. anything on bravo!

super cool mom moment-

no idea, do your kids ever think your cool?! i took them everywhere with all their friends that's probably about as cool as i got!

uncool mom moment-

oh i had lots of those!! i lost it lots of times, sometimes in front of friends which was very uncool!

what famous person would you most like to be stranded on a dessert island with?

that's super easy. jeff probst. he IS survivor, he would know what to do or at least create a crazy game to play to pass the time. he is not so bad to look at either ;)

1. How long have you been together?

married 20, dated for several  years in high school and some after
2. How long did you know each other before you started dating?

Well, there are differing stories on that, we went to the same high school but technically met when i went to a youth conference with a friend who was a member, we kind of started dating then.
3. Who asked who out? matt asked me
4.Whose siblings do you see the most?

the same, most of them live in St. Louis
5. do you have children? 

2, Kiley and Caleb
6. What about pets?
our terrier dog baxter!
7. Did you go to the same school?
Yes, Parkway West in St. Louis, MO. Go longhorns!
8. Are you from the same town?
yes
9. Who is the smartest?
that would be matt but we try not to let his head get too big
10. Who is the most sensitive?
that would be double me!
11. Where do you eat out most as a couple?
Hmm.. Maui Taco, P.F Chang's 
12. Where is the farthest place you have traveled as a couple?
well when we were in st. louis, Hawaii was the farthest, when we are in hawaii, it is st. louis but in April we are going to NY that will be the farthest together.
13. Who has the craziest exes?
we don't have a lot of exes, we got married young but matt had one CRAZY one!
14. Who has the worst temper?
i get mad more but when matt gets mad his temper is worse.
15. Who does most of the cooking?
i do ALL of the cooking
16. Who is more social?
we are both talkers and we both love to stay home so it's a toss up of our weird sociability
17. Who is the neat freak?
we are both pretty neat
18. Who wakes up earlier?
on work days matt, on weekends me.
19. where was your first date?

well we went bowling and hung out at youth conference, is that a date? (we went away to a college for YC)
20. Do you get flowers often?
not that much but matt knows i like things like pedicures more. i got a nice bouquet on val. day though.
21. Who does the laundry?
I do, matt was really good at helping when we both worked but now i am home more, he will help fold if it is there.
22. Who drives when you are together?
matt always has to drive
23. Is your family still growing?

not by me but someday our family will get bigger again with marriages and grandchildren.
