i was in charge of the activity on sat. the last day of youth conference. i stressed a LOT over this activity but it turned out pretty good. it was called the carnival of life, i did not come up with the idea just executed it. each ward did 2 games. one of the games was "worldly" and one was spiritual. the kids got 16 tickets at the beginning of the carnival and could play any or all of the games they chose but unknowing to them if they played a spiritual game they received a talent back which was just a red ticket with a T. so long story short, we had them "die" after playing for a while and then they went to "heaven" being directed where to go depending on how many talents they had earned. we went into the chapel and had speakers that talked about how you can't take material things with you, the only things you can take are your knowledge and talents you have developed here on this earth. it really made an impact on some of them and was a great activity.
this was just a church memory game.
it was really fun, it is a lot of planning but i know that it is important to do activities like this for the youth to teach them the things they need to learn to draw closer to Christ.
