On friday night we went to the Kahuku homecoming football game. why you ask, since i don't care for football and they are a mililani rival? well our makana mozo was named homecoming king! it was so fun, there was a parade with the homecoming court and they all came in in convertibles and looked so great. makana was so handsome in his white tux, they look like they were getting married, his queen was a childhood friend and she looked beautiful. there was a dinner at PCC for them before the game and people kept telling them congratulations and makana just said thank you! they thought they were getting married, it's a little young but it is mormon laie?!
well right before the game started the stadium lights kept going out, that is not good! everyone had done a lot to prepare for not only the game but for the homecoming court presentation.
this happened about every 20 min. and they kept having to stop the game. we were getting so worried since all these kids had gotten all dressed up, had their hair done, rented the cars etc. but it kept happening, this is what the game looked like half the time-
after many times of this they called the game! no presentation of the court which stinks, we all came out to see kana and for nikki to put his lei on him. they decided it would be sat. at noon but we couldn't come. it was fun for them though they just got to wear their senior t-shirts and still be presented.
handsome kana boy and his beautiful mom!!
the homecoming court.

Wow! Love the pictures - - he looks so grown up. Very handsome young man. Thanks for posting these, I love it!
Whoa! I still think of him as being about 12 years old. How fun for him to be homecoming king! Way to go, Makana!
I love the picture of him and Nikki! They both look great! That is really disappointing about the lights!
I thought the same as Julie because the last I remember him was in Primary. He's a handsome young man! Love the picture of mom Nicki by his side!
Oh those Kahuku homecoming games take me back!
very nice pictures, I heard about the light problem, too bad for that!
Thanks for coming out and taking these photos for us. Your love and support of our family means more than words could say. And for all the comments about kana growing up, I hear you, I still think of him as 12 years old too, can't believe hes a senior already!!
