what a weekend!

well i really miss my camera, we had a great weekend and i didn't get to photograph any of it!
matt's sister kim brought her daughter to hawaii to go to school at BYUH. we spent a lot of time shopping getting her ready and taking her purchases to her room at school. she met her roomate and hall mates and some other girls along the way, they all seem like super nice, cute girls. we went to ki's house and took some of her stuff but i was not allowed to help there-independent daughter of mine! it was fun to help maggie though and she seemed to appreciate it. kim had had surgery on her heel right before coming so she was on crutches and that was a challenge for her i am sure she was so tired but trudged on so she didn't miss a moment with her daughter.there were some tears shed and the girls hate it but they don't understand what a hard time it is for mom's to send away their children. you are happy for them, excited for them, nervous for them but really you will just miss them and that is hard! ki is close by but she is getting so old and wants to do everything on her own, she mentioned phasing us out and we were surprised by that but she said she meant financially, it is hard on her to take money from us and puts a dent in that independent spirit! her house is beautiful though and once i get my camera back i am going up to laie to take pictures of it and her and maggie, they promised they would still be there! on that note i called yesterday they were supposed to be finishing my camera yesterday and then shipping it out in 1-2 days! i am waiting on baited breathe and i will appreciate my camera more than i already did!
i can still see the girls packed up in the jeep, bike sticking out the top and bungeed on by caleb, driving away, so much fun and adventure ahead! i guess it will remain in my mind since i seem to be the only one ever with a camera! good luck mags!

That would be so hard not to have a camera for all of that! It's really nice that Matt's sister got to bring her daughter out.
