Did you know the world is literally made of GLUTEN?? when you go to a store, a bakery, a party, a get together, everything is made of gluten, wheat, flour! Really most times it does not bother me, really. and it does not hurt my feelings when people are eating things i cannot eat or have things i cannot eat but i guess it gets harder this time of year. pumpkin bread, rolls, cakes, thanksgiving, stuffing, green bean casserole, christmas etc. etc.
i think the hardest thing for me is food blogs. i love looking at food blogs but it is so hard to see all the yummy foods people make and not be able to eat them. sometimes i do make things and not eat them because i love to do it but sometimes it is just too hard.
i feel bad because i passed this on to kiley. she was having a hard time the other day because she could not find anything to eat without making a full dinner. college kids get pizza, what do gluten free kids get? salad. sometimes you just want a piece of pizza!
there are a lot of gluten free cooking blogs but it's just more difficult and more expensive to get all the ingredients to make it and make it taste good!
usually i am fine and i can deal with eating gluten free, i think i eat healthier than ever and i hate when people feel bad when i cannot eat something but today, i am sick of being "gluten free"!

i know how you feel. nick is diabetic and just about every single food has sugar in it. he needs to be very diligent in his diet but he is constantly tempted...there are certain foods I can't cook at all or else he'll pig out. Just takes so much self discipline right?
Hi Sister Bishop! I found your blog through Sister Jung's blog! You can view mines too I think it's public. Anyway, I'm in Australia right now and in reading your blog, you would definitely have no problem out here. NEARLY EVERYTHING and every store has gluten-free or normal option. Every bakery, ice cream place, pizza hut (or other pizza places), and even subway have gluten free.
Anyway, take care!!!
I'm bringing something gluten-free to Book Club tonight =). I promise!
Hey again Sister Bishop!! Oh yes, we'll be sealed out here in Australia, and then hopefully we'll move back to Hawaii next year since I have to go back to Winter semester anyway. Wow, maybe I should meet Kiley's friend poor thing, she must be feeling the same way!!
Anyway, yes once again if you ever decide to make it out these ways, trust me you definitely won't miss out on tasted anything! THey have this really good chocolate restaurant that also has gluten-free everything option!
