happy valentines day, chinese new year and presidents day!

we had such a fun week at preschool! with so many holidays this week there was lots to do!

we made valentines, put them in an envelope and the kids got to take a field trip to the "post" office and mail their valentines to mom and dad. ( it was raining when we went to the office that's why kids have hoods on, it is not that cold!)
learning lacing skills while making valentines
exchanging goodie bags, in hawaii it is not some little paper card it is loot!

then there is chinese new year. Kung Hey Fat Choy!
the kids got fortune cookies one day for snack. we asked them what they said, that was pretty funny.
one day for snack they got dim sum, they loved it but kids in hawaii are used to many different kinds of food.
then they got to learn to use chopsticks. first to put paper balls of "rice" into a bowl and count it and then use them for lunch. luckily it was rice that day. they loved it.
such hard work!
we couldn't fit in presidents day with a short week so that will be next week.
hope your weekend was fun. i got flowers and i bought matt godiva chocolate covered strawberries and we shared!(that place makes my mouth water!) we saw the valentines movie which was very cute. he is in chicago now. i cut little strips of valentine paper and wrote little messages on them and glued a chocolate heart to each one and hid them all over his suitcase. he liked finding them when he got there. enjoy your presidents day off!

I love pre-school. I miss my kids pre-school days!

I always think that if I were to work, I'd love to become a pre-school teacher. That age is so much fun!
