i was a little excited to have ki and scotty and maggie come over for easter dinner. i started yesterday with the potato salad and finished up the rest this morning. we had spiral sliced, glazed ham ( from costco, fully cooked, really good) fresh green beans with garlic and shallots, potato salad, deviled eggs and spinach salad with bacon, mushrooms and red onion and poppy seed dressing. with strawberry shortcake for dessert. i tried to make ki and i a shortcake but it got really hard and dense as it sat and was pretty gross so we just ate another piece of chocolate!
this is my favorite holiday. it is a feeling of renewal and wonderful to reflect on the ressurection of Jesus Christ. i am so grateful for the atonement in my life and the easter story.
kiley was due right around easter and i ate chocolate marshmallow bunnies and eggs like crazy while i was pregnant, that didn't help the weight gain! there were no marshmallow eggs to be found this year!
when the kids were little it was so fun to dress them up in coordinating outfits and to hide eggs for them to find. i really wish i could post pictures but my scanner is not working and i do not have digitals from that far back.
anyway just a little reflection, times have changed but it is always nice to get together with family for holidays~ for as long as you can get it!!
happy easter!

Happy Easter to you, too! Sounds like you had a lovely time and some tasty food. We watched conference and had cinnamon rolls (actually, homemade cinnamon raisin bread this year) and eggs benedict. That's our conference tradition, not our Easter tradition =).
Glad you had a great easter with the family! I hope I can make some family dinners one day too and I can only imagine how much of a labor of love it is:-)
I also wish that I could see the pics of the kids when they were younger. Why did technology have to be so advanced now? hahaha.
Good job on tackling easter dinner! Sounds wonderful!
oooh...that dinner sounds delish! so glad to know you guys had a nice family gathering at home! HAPPY EASTER!
Take pitures of your old pictures! That is what my dad does and it is so easy!
Right on with your dinner! oh costco wherever would we be without you? peeling 5 lbs of potatoes...can't you buy that in a frozen thing?...but then again...(Jamie might show up for dinner!)
We had ham, potatoes, salad and friends for Easter too. It was nice that it just happened to be conference weekend too.
