My Man!

i have been spoiled since i came back from utah. i haven't had a lot of time to sit and think about the kids being gone since matt has been off of work for the long 4th weekend, thurs. -tues. we wanted to get some things done around the house but when i came back from utah all of the bathrooms were scrubbed clean and the upstairs vaccuumed. i was so appreciative.
if the kids have to grow up and move on with their lives i am glad i have this man to spend the rest of my days with.
my laundry closet is my nemesis. it is a dusty, horribly ducted little room. the heat cracks the paint and i hate it. matt cleaned the whole thing out for me, moving the washer and dryer, cleaning the floor, scraping the walls and trying to do something to catch all the dryer lint.
it is still ugly but so much better and with a few organizing baskets makes me much happier.
he has made me acai bowls for breakfast every morning
and cleaned my car the way only matt can clean a car. he said " I AM NOT FODDER FOR YOUR BLOG!" oh but you are!
i bought a dress for ki's wedding in feb. and haven't looked at it much since. i put the whole outfit on the other day and decided i just wasn't sure if this was it. matt took me shopping for 2 days straight determined to find a new dress. he made me go in neiman marcus just to be sure we had covered all our bases. not my thing! we did not find anything but i still have a week in california or my back up outfit.
i couldn't ask for a better husband, i am so grateful for him, he is my best friend.

Well I won't tell him that you devoted a whole post to him. I'm so glad you love your husband. Marriages lasting as long as yours are rare, and you're best friends on top of that. I feel the same way about my guy too.

SO cute. isn't it sad that our men must be out of the house so much working hard for us? :) Nick cleaned the whole house yesterday and I was so grateful!

Wow! I always knew he was a good guy. And yes, it's ok to miss your kids, but there are some nice things about it too.

Well, hello there! Seems like the only time we converse with each other is through blogging. (Chuckle)

What a sweet guy. Scrubbing the bathroom? He gets mega points for that! It's nice to let our husbands know how much they are appreciated.

Oh, I know what you mean about the laundry closet. We had to make a few improvments ourselves when we lived in that complex. The vent is just too narrow. Have you tried hooking up the dryer duct to something like this? http://www.improvementscatalog.com/product/code/204952.do?cm_mmc=Froogle-_-Maintenance-_-2010-_-204952&code-macs=MP0WFGL&code=MP0WFGL&mr:trackingCode=15E4FEAF-AA35-DF11-9DA0-002219319097&mr:referralID=NA

Your relationship is a great example to many of us, especially the our kids. Always remember how lucky you are to have your love as your best friend, and to have him here. He is a great guy! I will not forget the many many things he has helped us with from fixing my brakes to painting my whole house. He (and you too of course) are such a blessing to us. Its like Jon picked you out for us right before he left so he knew there would be someone to take care of us. Thanks for that. I love you both.
