Transcend

A documentary type movie is being made about the life of Jon Mozo. it is called transcend.
i think it is going to be a beautiful film.devin graham is filming the movie. nikki called last week and said it was time for our interviews for the movie. we just got home from ward camp. the house was a mess, we were tired and sunburned but they are trying to wind things down and wanted to get it done. i thought if i had more prep time i would just worry about it so we just went with it.
devin filming
matt went first, i wanted to see how it worked, what questions they asked and think about what i wanted to say. it is a little nervewracking. when you are sitting there watching you can think of a billion things to say, when you get in front of the camera you feel like you have lost all thought.
matt did great though and it really helped me to know what i wanted to say. no one took a picture of me but we all had teary moments. it brought up a lot of memories of jon and all of our good times together. i really could have talked for an hour about all the times we had with jon but it is a 5 min. interview that will probably be cut down to a min. or so. that's a short time to sum up jon!
afterwards i have just been thinking about all the times we had with jon and looked up some pictures, my scanner doesn't work so it is just the ones i have done already on the computer.
jon brought a family from tahiti to visit hawaii. we did everything on the island with them. here we're ice skating with teurihei the mozo's and the kamalani's. look at caleb, so little!
jon bought dirt bikes and an ATV. we would go out to kaena or the kahuku race track and ride. the kids loved it. they both got hurt pretty badly which matt told about in the interview but he said they will always look back that it was fun not that they got injured
jon is not in the picture but he was there, cooking up fish to eat on the beach. we would go to the beach and stay til dark.
here we're at turtle bay with nikki's sister odette , again jon was there and it reminds me of him so much but i guess he was taking the picture. a couple in the pool asked me to take their picture and he got behind them and made faces i am sure they were thrilled when they saw their pictures!
this is when ki and jon rode the jet ski from haleiwa to makaha~ a long ways, to swim with the dolphins.
i have posted this quite a few times but it is such a beautiful gift we have from jon
the water park was always a big thing to do, this was with tahitian family again. jon is there in the back by ki. amber and yani and mai mai are so small!
this just reminds me of jon because mateiva loved kiley and jon wanted her to marry him so we could get land in tahiti!
matt told about the crazy parties at the mozo house. we danced and played silly games and had a great time!
jon, ki and amber all have birthdays in april and we celebrated them together. amber was 8!
chris and his giant underwear, good times!
after ki hurt her leg on the bike by hitting a rock, jon and carlos spent the rest of the night trying to move that rock. it wasn't going to make a difference but jon felt like it was for ki to give it to that rock!
not sure who drew silly faces on this picture but these kids were like cousins. jon brought them all together.
both kids in casts. at the same time. while matt was in iraq. now that's fun! but jon was always there to help with anything we needed! we have great memories of time spent with him. we miss him. his legacy does live on. i can't wait for others to get to know him in the film.
you can see the trailer here. just click on the link below. devin has done an amazing job!!

I'm really excited to see this. Devin is friends with one of Harris' best friends and it looks like he is doing a great job. I loved all those pictures of Jon, what great memories. I remember all those stories about Kiley and Mateiva. too bad about all that land in Tahiti. haha :)

You'll have to post when the movie comes out, if it comes to Vegas. I got the brown hat on etsy.com, there are a lot of people that crochet adorable baby hats, and the green frog hat & Lincoln's onesie are from Gap.com. Did you notice, the shorts Jayden has on are the ones you bought? Yes, I think they are 12-18 months and they still fit, he's such a shortie. I love them though and he's gotten good use out of them already!
