mesmerized

today is ellie kai's 2nd day in this world. she was a little startled by it yesterday, today not so excited by it. she ate and slept! we wanted to see her eyes open but she wasn't having it. she was so sleepy and content.

                                          basically we sat around staring at her sleep!

 checking out how long her fingers are, how deep her nail beds are and how long her nails are

                 ooohing and aaahing over her silvery blonde hair that sticks off the back of her head

                                    she is finding her fingers when it's not time to eat

                                 will she be a thumb sucker? look at those fingers! she's 2 days old. piano player?!

                                     caleb had to drive back from hau'ula today to say hi to his favorite neice

 she is pretty good at nursing but she falls asleep as i'm sure most 24 hr. old babies do but when you take her away she starts up again!

scotty is very good with her, not at all afraid to get in there, change a diaper, or settle her down which he can. he's a good dad already!

                                     we got a little peek at her eyes open, that's it!

i know i'm obsessed, it is so fun to be able to make baby things!!
i don't see her until wed. and i think i'll miss her!
