kauai continued

just wanted to blog the rest of my kauai pictures. we had such a nice little getaway.

 we wanted to go to waimea canyon. we did not pick a good day. as we went higher and higher in elevation it got more and more cloudy and rainy,

 and cold! we went straight from the beach so we were in swim suits and beach shorts and were freezing!

 we got up there and had to get out just to make sure we could see nothing! it was a little cool though because you were literally inside the clouds!

 as we drove down it was a little better in lower elevation so we climbed over some dirt berms to get a look

 we went to poipu beach and there was a sea turtle sunning on the beach. i was watching it crawl in and out of the water to get cool and back up on the beach to sun

                                 i turned around to this! kauai is full of roosters, everywhere! one was trying to befriend matt for the corn nuts he was eating. matt threw him one!! you do not feed the chickens!

                                                         they never go away!

 matt just booked a hotel through orbitz, we had no idea what we were getting until we walked into a little condo that was so nice. full kitchen,

                                                             2 bedroom, 2 bath

                                                and a living room, we should have been staying for a week!

           they had 2 beautiful pools to sit by and relax and a hot tub to enjoy at night

and of course we had to drive around a mustang and look like tourist, but i guess we were there!
