i know it's taken me a while to do this but it's been very busy!
we put an offer in on a short sale last may or june. 9months later we got it. we closed on the house the end of feb. and got keys a few days later. we were going to demo the whole thing and renovate it.
let's take the tour of how it was. i'll be doing this in parts!
this is next to that dining room/small room. they put an addition on. for us it will be an office/den type room later. we'll put built in cabinets along the wall, replace the windows and either do a built in bench or do a small sectional or 2 chairs. this is last.
this is the entry, that mirror is gone but is a little nook where i'll put a console table
this is the master bath, it is just grungy. this will be a big redo, take out the bathtub, toilet, sink, vanity, mirror, light, and floor!
this is the master bedroom, it is small. it does have a walk in closet and the bathroom. just so no one is fooled by the floors in these pictures it is laminate stick on and was coming up everywhere!
laundry room. will have a new door to the backyard, there are a lot of doors!
this is one side of the kitchen, that row of upper cabinets is coming down for a more open space
the other side of the kitchen, all getting replaced
the back of those cabinets in the kitchen, the uppers will be gone and a bar put on the bottom
this is the lovely wall across from that mirrored wall, that's staying~ kidding that's going!
this is when we first started looking at it, 9months of no care took a toll but we've had a lot of rain and it's coming back. the wall you see is half way through the yard, weird! so that's coming down so baxy can have space to roam!
this is the living room, i feel like it looks big but it's not. once furniture is in there it will be nice and cozy!
i'll post demo pics later and update from there! it's a lot of work but we're really excited and matt and i have done great with compromise and decisions!

I think compromise is the hardest part of renovating. good for you!
WOW. Can't wait to see the after pictures!
YEAH!! Finally some pics! It is so hard to imagine what it will look like, but I know it will be so cute! It is so stressful now, but in the end it will all be worth it! Can't wait to see it!
Kelly. Wow, I am totally excited to see more. Give us more!!! From the pictures of the kitchen and living room, your floor plan looks alot like the house we were renting on Hinilii street. We had the laundry room just behind the kitchen too. Is the master bedroom right in the front of the house just off the entryway with the two other bedrooms on the other side by the kitchen? I wonder if the original floor plan was similar.
Yea! Where is it? I am jealous of your yard!!
It's beautiful! I cannot wait to see all your hard work!
pam, i think it is the same floor plan now that i think of it, it seem like your bedroom was bigger though and where your bathroom was we have a closet and then a small bathroom.
denae, it's just a few streets up from us now in mililani. we only have front yard, the backyard is terraced concrete and a small lanai!
