Last Young Women's

Last night my good friend and 1st counselor Dawn Clark and i were invited to young women's for one last time, we didn't know what they were doing and i had mixed feelings of going. i know i have to let go and to keep going back is hard for me right now. so we get there, they put dawn and i in chairs in the front and each girl and the leaders comes up and reads a goodbye they have written, so i sat and bawled. it was so emotional for me. i know it is my time to say goodbye but hard to pass these girls on to someone else, i have had them all their entire time in young womens. i am grateful to Dawn for all of her support, caring for me, service to the girls and her hard work keeping me on the ball and organized. She's the best!! We were glad we were released together-we're a package deal! we were given a scrapbook of all of their letters which is just a treasure to me, a beautiful orchid and a picture of ko'olina where we spent the beginning of every school year with the young women's theme written on it. it was all so appreciated!! they read a quote to us that i really wanted to share, sorry this is so long.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am i to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.We are all meant to shine as children do. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." Oh Kelly! You've been in YW so long. What are you going to do with your busy self now? Take a breather for a bit. Hang in there. You'll enjoy it someday.
