it's always about money

caleb went to his first orientation for work. he is really excited. he said the people were cool and he thinks it will be much better than being a lifeguard at a pool because there is so much going on and you move around a lot to the different slides and rides. the funniest thing is that he gets a discount on the food there and it comes straight out of your paycheck, he said i really hope i get a paycheck at the end of the week! he is a fast food junkie! hopefully he will get really sick of the food! well as always with kids it involves money he needs:
 a workbook-$40
he needs the uniform of a hat, shirt and shorts, not sure the price on all of that
he has to wear sunglasses, he is not going to accept a pair from walmart
he has to have plain black comfortable slippers,(flip flops to you mainlanders) of course he wants sanuk, 30$ slippers but they are comfy!
of course we are footing the bill for all of this so he can start working without being in the hole but i think it is going to be really good for him. he has to speak to people and deal with the public which is really good for him!
the park is being renovated, it was bought by a new company and is now called wet and wild. he gets a season pass for himself, not that he'll want to go when he is not working but maybe!

I've had an annual pass to that place for the past 3 years and I am excited for the new rides that are coming out. I'm not going to be here this summer but I plan on hitting the waterpark as soon as I get back!

Sanuk slippers? What is that? Happy he is working in this tough climate to find employment.

hey there! Kahana and i have bought passes for the past two years (only when they were on sale), and we've really enjoyed them! but we just went a couple weeks ago, and were a little disappointed. we were playing in the keiki cove with our babies, going down the slides with them (as usual), and got stopped by a worker telling us we cant do that anymore. Its only one person down the slide at a time, no riding with your children anymore. So, we pretty much left because there was nothing for us to do but sit around. We tried sending bela down one of the slides by herself, and she cried the whole way! and we for SURE cant send kia'i down by himself, he's too little! so we were pretty bummed. But im sure caleb will like working there! ive heard its a fun place to work :)

First off, Calebs shirts....COOL! And yay for him getting a job! Two, never heard of those flip flops (sanuk). I'll have to see if I can get some of those here. I always wear flip flops but can't really find anything comfy...crocs are the best I've found. Anyway, moving on....the ring...glad you found one but just so you know I had a good friend of mine who lives in Phoenix looking around for a pretty one. So I'll give her the hault now. I'm glad Jill is with a better doctor now...hopefully things will start happening for her now. oh and two of my sisters tried that crock pot chicken enchilada recipe of yours...they liked it but wanted it spicier---they like HOT. Guess thats what happens living in a true MEXICAN area.
