down on the farm

On sat. evening we got to go to an old friend's house. lew kamalani built a house in waiahole and it is so great.their house is so cool and they have some property with animals, we had a blast!!! (lots of pictures)

there was a sheep
there were geese but when i tried to take a picture they ran the other way
this is baxter's first introduction to a horse, he was a little shy! he loved running around with all the new smells though!
this is hero, the friendliest horse, maggie was trying to take a picture of me and holly and it was so frisky it hit me in the head. this is kiana's baby chison. he is adorable!!

it was getting dark when we were done with dinner and rode horses but it was still fun, nellie was a little worried but loved it!
helmets are a rule at the kamalani's after kekoa had a lifethreating skateboard accident. this horse was hilarious. i wanted to take off on a ride but apparently the sheep always comes with the horse as you can see on the left side and hero doesn't like to leave without buckwheat so he kept going back despite all my protests, yanks on the reigns and commands, you can't seperate them, what a trio!! then! the whole time i was on the horse baxter sat on the porch with matt and cried. he was so worried about me, i guess he didn't know what the horse would do to me and he is very protective of me. oh my baby!
lew and makana gave us a concert, that is what i love about hawaii, always entertained.

it was really a great day! they have a fire pit and after we all came in i said to matt are we going to roast marshmallow's now? he said this isn't "kelly's perfect day" - it could have been?!!
