They just flew out to San diego to meet his parents! i guess this is it!
it has been a very bittersweet thing for me. she is my first born, not my baby, caleb is my baby and kiley has never been a baby! she has always been strong willed and independent but she is still my child and the thought of handing her over to someone else is a hard thing. in truth i cried for 2 days but i am better now and happy for her. he is a great guy with a great drive and a good heart. and i guess most importantly he loves her. i don't even have any pictures of them but he is white and blonde! we were hoping for brown babies from her from living in hawaii but blonde babies are good too, i had 2 of them!

Congratulations! The first one is hard. It took me a while to stop feeling like I had just given my child away, but it gets better.

I'm a first born as well and I remember my mom having a difficult time. It was only short-lived.
My father in law said that he didn't feel like giving a child away, instead he felt like he was gaining another one. Sweet.
wow!! with all the traveling and such, i didnt even think she had a boyfriend! but thats so great for them!! as long as he treats her the way a real man should, its all good :) i would cry too tho! i can totally see that being me
That's so crazy! I still can't believe how grown up she is, but don't worry Aunty Kelly, she'll always be your little girl:-)

PS: I think my dad took it harder than my mom when I "tied the knot" (but don't tell him I told you that!)
Okay Kelly! I saw Kathleen and Jessica last weekend in Utah an got a wind of this. Is this a new blonde boy or is he the bald boy she talked about when I was there in november. Is there a pict of him on her blog of the two of them at the beach? So when is the date? I am so excited for them. I am excited he is from San Diego. I need more info!!!
Kelly this was definitely a surprise post!!! None leading up to it or anything. So yes we do need details & pictures please. Kiley is quite the little heartbreaker! She's leaving those missionaries in pieces all over the place!
