Vegas

we went to vegas for a few days after st. george. we went out with matt's parents one day and i forgot my camera! so picture this. we went to the bellagio to see the beautiful garden full of amazing creations. we went to serendipity 3 ( you know from the movie) and had their famous frozen hot chocolate, very yummy, better be at 9$ but 4 of us drank one and it was kind of worth it, just to have had it once.
matt and i had an extra day there and we filled it up with shopping, going to trader joe's and hanging out at the pool! it was warm in vegas!!

notice the magazine: triathalete! he is relaxing, really!
this water was wonderful, i even got in!
we also got to go see our friends the turners that used to live in hawaii and moved to vegas.
i got to meet baby jayden. he is adorble, quite the little flirt! he has a huge happy smile. this was him showing us his trick where you blub blub your lips to make noise, so cute!
me, cami and jayden. thanks for letting us stop by and hang out!
i think that is the final end of this trip! just to answer a few questions about the race.
there were a million bags at each transition but they are very organized. you receive a packet with a bunch of stickers with your number on it, it goes on your bike, your bags, everything you plan on bringing. then everything is divided by numbers in groups of 50 so it is pretty easy to find your stuff. the next big question has been why didn't matt just do the ironman in hawaii!
the kona ironman is the original. you have to do a qualifying race to get in. you can't just sign up. you can do other ironman's like this one or do a few other things like the boston marathon which matt has never done any of those races to qualify. they have a few lottery spots but you have no idea if you will get one. this was an opportunity for him to participate in one and possibly qualify to do the kona one which didn't happen. it is a very competetive thing. they say if you finish an ironman you are statistically one in a million! which i get now! i think with the final numbers of the race there were about 700 people who didn't finish! he is already back running and working out and i guarantee this is not out of his system!

I love his motivation!

Isn't the garden just beautiful? I love the water fountains dancing to music too. And the glass sculptures on the ceiling. . .amazing. That city is one big art muesum minus the naked bodies. LOL! Shopping is the best at Vegas. I bet it was hot!

The Bellagio is beautiful. I'm glad you two had a little time to just relax.
