Making cake plates

i have been having fun making cake plates for the hawaii open house. it is fun to make them but not so easy to find the things to make them with. you need some kind of pretty plate and a candle holder for the base and special glue for the ceramic or glass. i went to all of the savers, salvation armies, targets, walmarts and ross's just to get these made.

i love this one but it is very fragile, it was a broken candle stick and i fixed it and added the plate
this was the first one i ever made that i have had for a while
the pink is not in our color scheme but the plate was toooo cute to pass up. they all come in between 6 and 10$, for the plate and the stand. not bad for a custom cute cake plate!

You've just got so much talent hidden in there that I didn't even know. You have to teach me how to make a cake plate. And I love your pink one. It's super cute!

Great finds. I know it takes time to find exactly what you are looking for. I really like the square plates.

Tell me how I can help.
