on memorial day we went to meet nikki and the kids at turtle bay. matt and caleb didn't bring a board but wanted to get in with the kids surfing. there is a long way around to the beach or the shorter way~ off the rocks!
they had to decide if they could do it the short way!
yeah, we can do it, we're guys! carlos actually swam over to check the deepest place and off they went...

then caleb, i think he should have led with his feet but he was fine.
off they went with carlos and the surfers. a few kids decided to come in so matt and caleb took their boards, i only had my phone so i didn't get any pictures of them surfing but matt was very proud of his surfing since he hadn't been in more than a year.
did you see me get up? ride those (2ft.) waves? did ya?
it was a really beautiful day.
