This beautiful banyan tree in Lahiana really made me think of a "family tree", it has one main trunk and then the roots grow down from the top and create new little trees that grow together, this is actually one whole tree. our parents raise us we go off and start our own little family, that grows and becomes larger and stronger until that one shoots off another root system, that is a sad day but it comes eventually. Matt's mom Kathy is already a great grandmother, the time goes very fast but it is a good thing when the next generation puts their roots into the ground.This is a beautiful site.
