I was cleaning my bedroom today. i am really bad when i deep clean about finding things and spending the next hour reading old letters and looking through old pictures. not that this is a great picture but when i came across it i had to laugh. OH the 80's. here i am in my childhood bedroom in my 4 poster bed, balloon curtains, talking on my ancient phone, so tied down with a CORD. wearing my sally jesse raphael clear glasses, my poofy hair, and my acid wash jeans, probably with my red reebok high tops on, well not on my bed of course. beside me is my Matt,Hockey bear. i guess the closest thing to a build a bear, it had the Parkway West Hockey uniform and at some point it had skates i think. it has a bandaid where matt got stitches playing. beside that is a pound puppy matt gave me which had a strip of matt's acid wash jeans tied to the collar. oh young love!
i also found notes from high school from matt and my friends- our "texting". back and forth about which period we wanted to skip or who was dating who or matt telling me "so here's your note", i guess i was always asking him to write me a note- needy?! but he was always apologizing for something he did :) you feel so dumb when you look back. it makes me just a little more understanding when caleb does dumb things but matt always says we're not going to set the bar low just because we were stupid. oh the days!

love it! I am the same way too. I started scrapbooking some of Kaimi's pictures and I ended up just staring at them from when he was a newborn

Oh that is too cute! I loved the 80's. . .to me, it doesn't seem so "old fashioned" but if you ask the kids they'll tell you the truth! I sported the same look LOL!

isn't it great to go back and reminisce with old photos? i was looking for a picture from jr high yesterday and by the time i found it i had spent about an hour sifting through pictures and re-living the memories! that's great you still have notes betweet you and matt in high school - my mom kept all the letters my dad wrote her when they were dating and he was in the navy. it's nice to have those keepsakes to hold on to.
