My Son

My son- i am not exactly sure where he came from. he is his own person. he has his own ideas about fashion that is not what i would choose but he is artsy and i want him to have his own identity. i also know with caleb everything is a phase. when he was little it was months of bionicles, when he was done he would sell them to friends and move on to lego's or pokemon or whatever it was. he asked for a PSP and shortly after he was done with that he sold that too. i am not sure why he thought it was ok that i bought the stuff and he sold it for the money but i digress...
he loves photography, going out and taking pictures of anything and everything. he is developing his eye and loves his class at school. he has the same teacher as ki and she seems to love the bishop kids and they get special priveliges in her class. he is also really getting into graphic design and can make some really cool things on the computer.
he drives me crazy sometimes when he decides it is cool to have a mustache because it makes your halloween costume look better to have a real one or to wear matt's dress shirts with cut off skinny jeans and a beanie, i am not sure who does that but he makes it his own.
he is such a good kid, he doesn't make straight A's and struggles with math but does well in school, he is respectful and mostly an obedient child (emptying the dishwasher takes 20 times of telling). he loves his dad!! he finished his eagle and is working on his duty to God. he is sensitive and hates people mad at him! i just LOVE him.
he is so funny at times! he is quiet until he wants to talk and then i listen! he could go on and on about a movie, something he learned in graphics or a concert. i love when he comes and sits on the couch by me and puts his long lanky legs over mine. i hate that he is a senior but it will be good for him to go to school which we are hoping is BYUH! i will miss him and hope that i can get anything out of him when he is gone!
caleb and some friends went to the gulch near our house and took pictures of each other, i thought they were cute. caleb is not super photogenic and doesn't smile for pictures so i jumped on getting these onto iphoto.
caleb ryan bishop 17 yrs. old

(he is pretending to play a flute, not smoke it:})

oh and matt gave him a tank of gas to get a hair cut- much better!

This makes me sad and miss him so much!!! I feel like I don't even know him. I remember when he used to crawl in bad with me and say "Jill, can we just talk". I love that kid!!! I am glad he is good, but I sure miss him!!!

that was very sweet. Sometimes you just need to figure out the right motivation to get what you want for them right?

He's so handsome and so grown up already. It's funny though because I remember all the different phases I went through too, but at least he can always come to you and talk to you about things:-) He sounds like a good kid and you guys are great parents to him!
