well yesterday was the official first day of winter, i know some places are saying "Hah" as they sit in 6 in. of snow or have already had a blizzard but we really did have our first day of winter in hawaii. it was a beautiful day yesterday, sunny and clear but chilly (you know for hawaii) but last night was freezing. you have to remember we have no heat and matt is out of town so i was cuddled down in my bed with long sleeves, long pants and socks on, oh and baxter, making him come closer and closer to me. He sleeps with me when matt is out of town and he prefers, to have his body under the covers and his head on matt's pillow- might have to take a picture, so cute! it is staying dark so much longer, the above picture is this morning at 6:45, makes you want to stay in bed!
well with winter came winter ball. caleb spent much time on his outfit. it is a much more casual dance so no tux's or suits. he went to salvation army and bought a shirt and a vest! his black cordouroy's are a christmas present he asked to borrow and nicole bought him shoes to match perfectly. her dress was royal blue so of course they were coordinated. i didn't get to see her and am still waiting for pictures of the 2 of them.
it was a very hard decision wether or not to wear a bow tie, he really wanted to but nicole and i thought there was enough going on! really where did this child come from?

that is my one complaint about winter here, no indoor heating! Never mind that we only need it for a month or so because it can get really cold in the house.
I love Caleb's outfit and love that he likes to be unique. : )
Cute! And I must say, I do love winters in Hawaii because there's no snow and for some reason, it's just perfect without it.
I think I'll be saying the same thing about Wes when he gets older.."Where did this child come from?" hahaha.
Where did he come from? Well let's see...he has a mother that wears velcro and sticks to walls and a father that snorkles in 2" of water...I don't know.
I loooove Hawaii winters! I love that it's cold, but not snowing. And longer dark days always remind me of school, probably because for 13 years it always felt cool to be at school when it's dark lol
