rude comment?

i just had a little chuckle. i am always checking other blogs to see their good ideas on food, crafts, decorating etc. i comment quite often. i think comments should be positive or just leave the site. one post in particular though just kind of hit me. she was telling about a company that sells these amazing blankets, from baby alpaca hair. anyway i clicked on the link to the site and the blankets were 650$$$$$. are you kidding me?!?!. i left a comment. "would you really pay 650$ for a blanket, i could think of so many more worthwhile things to do with 650$!"
i went back today to see if anyone else felt the same way. my comment was deleted!
everyone else's comments were "oh these look so soft", oh these would be wonderful in wisconsin" etc. i guess she either thought mine was negative or that she was trying to give the company a plug and exploding about the price was not going to sell more blankets.
i really do think you should only be positive when you comment. next time i will just close the page and then say to myself "650$$ for a BLANKET"?!

I'm with ya. That's crazy! She must get a kickback from the blanket company. I'm the same way with handbags. What some women will pay for a PURSE.

Yeah, I don't know what the point is in leaving negative comments on people's posts. What is it supposed to prove? apparently people don't have anything else to do except spew their unwarranted negative opinions into comment boxes. Ugh. I follow this one blog called CJRun and she is so funny. She sometimes talks about her dilemma with food and weight but in a hillarious way and she still loves herself. But I guess this reader decided to tell her she needed to get off the couch and lose all that weight and eat better. And she made fun of the comment in a vlog. It was humorous.

And I totally agree. I could pay bills with $650! Or make two car payments. Geeeeeez. You might as well just buy an alpaca, keep it inside and sleep with it at night. The care and maintenance alone for an alpaca is probably about $650.

I have learned to be more careful in what type of comments I leave. Once I commented on someones post and we were friends in college so I thought she knew me but right after I made the comment she made her blog private. oops!

Crazy

Might as well buy the animal it self and then you could have unlimited amounts of yarn to make unlimited amounts of blankets.

I always try to remember the saying... "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." That's what I'm always telling my kids, anyway... lol! :)

haha oh AUnty Kelly that is too funny! And I feel the same way because iPods and iPhones and iPads are cheaper than blankets like those!

I am so offended that anyone would ever pay that much for a blanket!!! And there are people in the world that can't afford any blanket. What's the website?? I think I need to post a comment also. I know this wasn't the point of your post, but I can't help it!
