just call me "master"

yesterday, Nikki Mozo received her masters degree in social work. she has worked so hard for the past few years. as a single mom it is no easy thing to go back to school and if i was her would have given up several times even though i never wanted her to. she has worked so hard not only on her degree but in building her community which she can explain a lot better than i can, and she should, on her blog!!!
anyway, we went to her graduation at UH...

the graduates of the masters program and PHD programs
nikki on the left receiving her diploma
waving her diploma
walking down after getting her diploma:)
and of course, this is hawaii so there is a lei ceremony after!
the mozo family
everyone trying for a picture! come on sarah!
there we go!
friends, family and supporters
good girlfriends. chailoh, sas, nikki, me and taril (sorry i know that's probably not spelled right) aka: jack's mom!
afterwards we went to spaghetti factory. this was not planned and it was no easy task finding a place last min. that would take 18 people.
our table looked like the last supper.
nikki's friend tania had access to a great house in laie so she had a party there on sunday to celebrate. it was a great time!
my kiddos, back home together! makes me smile! caleb's hair gone and ki with a baby belly. although i know you cannot tell there is a small one there, she looks great!!! (6 months)
you can click to see closer!
stacey, kalea, naomi and mark. friends coming to celebrate. the cutest girls ever!
william welcoming everyone and congratulating nikki
nikki thanking everyone for their support. it was all her though. i have hardly seen her in the past year. hoping to catch up this summer!
thanking her kids. they really have been troopers through it all. good thing they are the most independent, resiliant kids i know!
nikki wrote a maori chant about her journey. it was truly beautiful. she was hard on herself of course but i think that her ancestors would be proud!!!
we hung out, ate, and enjoyed friends we don't get to see nearly enough!
congratulations nikki ! she asked to be called master now~ you deserve it!
