We interupt this wedding programming for some random news...

Our townhouses are having some work done. we have had to clear away stuff from our yard so that they can replace rotten boards and will then repaint it. we are lucky in that we have a storage closet that someone built in that no one else has. we utilize it to the fullest. we got notice that they had to replace boards on the outside and that everything would have to be taken out. after reviewing it they will decide if we can still have the storage unit.UGGH! we have no garage and this is our main storage. anyway we had to remove everything yesterday, that was fun especially with nowhere for it to go. some is on the front lanai, some is on my bedroom balcony and everything else shoved in some closet.

we either qualify as a yard sale or white trash:)

it is much more organized now until the get it done and hopefully we can have it back!!

after we did this i ran to the store and matt went to swim. we just let baxter hang out in the house where usually we crate him while we are gone. we had left some food storage from the closet on the floor in the entryway. when matt came home he called me and told me what baxter did. he left it for me to see when i got home.
he chewed a hole in the baggie, got out a granola bar pack and ate the whole 2 bars and had crumbs on his mouth!

when i got home i looked at him and he hid from me behind matt. he knows exactly what he did and that he shouldn't have done it. i kept calling him but he would not look at me.


this is "i am submissive to you and i'm sorry!!" matt and i could not stop laughing, he was like a little kid. he came and said sorry by giving me kisses and all is forgiven!

i got to see pam in cali but as soon as the reception was over they got ready to come to hawaii for our ward camp so i got to see her again when i got home. she is such a blast! she was sooooo gracious and let my friends stay at her home for the week. they had fun and we all really appreciate it.

last night a few friends went out to see eclipse and get dessert, it was so fun to hang out and talk until 12:15 a.m.!

and lastly, today is my birthday. a friend of caleb's is selling high end knives (CUTCO) we ordered 2 and they came in, it is my birthday and i have a thing for good knives but i have never had a really good, super duper sharp knife. in the demonstration it cuts a penny and a rope!

this morning i went to cut a watermelon saying to matt i hope i don't cut my finger off. cutting it the knife slid off and went straight through my finger like it was paper. it didn't even hurt it was so quick and sharp. i just started calling "matt, i did it!" and as i saw it open up to reveal white inside i said "i really did it"!

i grabbed a towel and we held it tight for a few min. he examined it and said that it would hold together o.k. if i didn't want to go fool with stitches so i agreed. of course i had to grab my camera!
it doesn't look that bad here but i didn't want to pull it apart and show how deep it is. it is just really the part where the most blood is the rest is surface.
matt butterflied it and wrapped it with this second skin stuff to hold it together. i think it will be fine. but happy birthday to me and my new knives!!

i also got the newest kindle that comes out aug. 27th!

man's best friend (woman too!)

It's no secret we love our dog! Baxter is such a good dog, our best little buddy. he provides us entertainment, excercise in the form of his 2 walks a day and a warning system for any man, child or animal that happens to walk past our doors (not his greatest quality-Barking!)

at school they were giving out these greenie toys, no idea why, but baxter loves it and uses it as a pillow sometimes.this is his bed but it goes in his crate, he spends time in there relaxing a lot, his little home, but matt was cleaning it and had his bed out in the kitchen so i guess he thought he would just go where his bed was, i know it's only funny to us but isn't he soooo cute!

Whenever we go out of town my good friend Dawn and her kids keep Baxter for us. We are always so appreciative. He gets so much love and attention there, he loves them to death!!

Over Christmas we left Baxter with them for 2 weeks, they sent us a picture while we were gone of baxter on christmas with a bow, they are so sweet to him. Today i went over to their house and Breelyn said she had something for me. She brought out this AdorAble picture. It is like a little book with his picture and his paw prints in plaster. she made this when they had him over christmas with the help of her mom. Isn't that sweet?! I LOVE IT! my cute puppy!!

Night Night Baxy!

Matt was playing with Baxter and one of his toys we call BoBo from the petsmart commercial. Baxter laid down on his back and matt put bobo in his hands and he laid there with it until he fell fast asleep, isn't he cute!!

Christmas Gifts

Baxter is so funny, i am not sure what he thinks of the Christmas tree but he brings things to it, he will smell the tree and then bring a toy to it. maybe he thought, blanket, monkey and tennis ball could be his Gold, Frankencense and Myrrh. My little giving puppy!

Baxter is ready for fall

Yesterday Baxter went to the groomer, i think it is so funny she puts this bow and fall scarf on him, of course he wants it off immediately and since we are not dog dress up kind of people we take it off but it was funny enough to take a picture, doesn't he look thrilled?! oh and he's a boy!

                            he's so much cuter when the haircut has grown out a week or so!

Happy Birthday Baxter

Baxter just turned 2 years old last week so I decided to indulge myself and post about my dog . He is the best doggie ever! We have never had a dog like baxter. He is so sweet and lovable and such a good dog. He waits patiently in the mornings by sitting and staring at you until you walk him which he loves. when you are on the computer he sits on the stairs and watches you.

He has his two things that he loves, his blanket which goes in his crate at night but that he brings out every single morning when you let him out. If i clean up and put it back in his crate he will go get it out and snuggle up in it and lay his head down on it. it is his blankie and stays out until bed time.
then there is the monkey, this is the second monkey since the first one was loved to death, you think he is over it and then there will be a surge of monkey again when he is carried around or taken outside to lay in the sun with him. 

we take him with us wherever we can, he loves rides in the car.he loves to snuggle up to me while i am reading or taking a nap. he loves to come in our bed and crawl down under the covers until we take him downstairs for the night. when matt gets home he goes running to the door and slobbers him with kisses, what a welcome!
