We have 2 guys in our ward that were getting ready to leave on missions, kaleo and aaron. matt had them in young men's when he was young men's president. they told matt that they thought that they wanted to start a new tradition that you get to pick one of your young men's presidents ties that you take with you on your mission. matt would do anything for these boys and told them they could pick which ones they wanted. Kaleo left 2 weeks ago for ghana, africa and picked this tie,
today aaron had his missionary farewell, matt had left for me the tie that aaron had chosen and said to be sure i took it to church today. i know matt wishes he could have been there today but hopefully both of these boys will wear these ties and remember the love that matt has for them. they are wonderful examples and i know will be GREAT missionaries!
