my bestie!

this is me and nikki. one of my best friends. she has been through a lot in her life. really really hard things. she is faithful and strong and never plays the victim. she has helped countless people whether financially, letting someone live with her, or calling  new widows or good friends to give support or plan a funeral which sadly enough she has had to do too many times. she is the mother of 4 wonderful kids 2 of which are teenagers and are, on some days, challenging but she  loves them unconditionally and delights in their talents and successes. she has been there for me and my family and loves us also unconditonally. i feel like i can be totally myself when i am with her. we are very different but compliment each other and have joked many times about how we are such good friends. we have been through a lot together which has bonded us as sisters and friends.i hate being photographed next to her, she is a beautiful brown skinned maori woman. nikki, i love you and have a prayer in my heart for you daily.
