learn to sew

my pictures always post backwards, it was supposed to be before and after!
Last night we had an enrichment night at church, it was supposed to be this simple quilted bag. well the lady who taught us made 60 for christmas presents, it gets a little easier! for the first time, non sewer it took 3 hours which i didn't really think was bad,it's just that we were at church until 10:00 and everyone wanted to go home, there were 3 of us left(sonya, fellow blogger friend!!) that were determined to finish them. if i took it home it wasn't getting finished. i love it, it's kind of small so i don't know what i will do with it but it is so bright and cheery! i really love making things and sewing i just don't know what i am doing and i could have never done the complicated parts by myself. luckily you can't see my stitches:) i had an 80 year old grandma on one side of me and a 10 year old on the other side, they were so sweet helping me! i am always grateful when someone will share their talents!

Yay Kelly! Your bag turned out supper cute! I worked on mine a little while longer after the activity. Today, I need to get some belting and sew it on.

Way to go!

How cute is that! Very springy. I am with you---I enjoy sewing---it just takes me so darn long---I am great at buying ALL the stuff to make something---but then never do it!
