i didn't have a chance to finish our day yesterday. we did the today show in the morning and the statue of liberty took pretty much the rest of the day. we waited in line for 1 hr. 45 min. to get on the boat. there were many "entertainers" while you waited, most of which were just annoying trying to get money out of you. it was worth it to see once in your life though.

Lady Liberty
we went to ellis island after liberty island. it was neat to see where hundreds of people came to this country. it was like a little city there when it was up and running. very interesting, i might post a few pics later. we were there so late in the day we just ate lunch at ellis island. good thing we got most other things in since this was almost all day but the books had told us 5-6 hours so we expected it.

seeing those pictures makes me feel patriotic! we went on a cruise 4 years ago that left from navy pier in manhattan and it was really neat to float past this statue. what a memorable trip you're having!!! hope it's warmer today!
I want to take this trip. We are hoping next summer - - take the kids and do the church history part of it too.
