Life's a Beach

for kiley life may not be a beach but she always lives at one, this year it is even closer. well i take that back there is not even a beach because she lives ON the water. this is the view off of her back deck in her house on laie' point. not sure how she is living in beach houses and we don't own a house but that's the luck of going to BYUH. it is a great house with a deck, a great view, new kitchen and a decent size bedroom she shares with her friend jordan.

they have a hot tub!! and next to that a hammock, o.k. her life is a beach! this is the hot tub-MOM!
ki and matt. it was kind of rainy, cloudy and humid that day but that only brings rainbows!

Kiley is working so hard this year. she is a junior which literally makes me want to cry. i am so happy she is close to home, i am just hating the thought of her being gone at one point.
she has had a lot of stress with a large load for school and not being able to find a job but somehow it always works out for her, she is driven and wants to make her own way and in the mean time we are here to fall back on because she is not lazy and tries really hard.

i am reading a book by sue monk kidd and her daughter and i am relating to each of their stories. each on the brink of a new chapter in their life (the mom-empty nester and the daughter- college graduate) and finding out about having an adult mother -daughter relationship. it is so hard to stop thinking of them as your little girl but it is so exciting to watch them grow and find their way. i love you ki!

She sure is a lucky girl. My cousin also got to live on the point as a student with the same breathtaking veiw. The balcony looks the same color. It might be the same house! She must be having so much fun!

She is doing great. And you are too! You've raised an amazing daughter. Be proud that she is independent and doing things on her own. She'll be better for it. Wish I was like her.

Wow. What a perfect way to enjoy living those care-free college days. I CANNOT believe she's a junior!

Sue Monk Kidd book--Book Club fodder? Let me know!
