hopefully all you women out there know it is breast cancer awareness month. my dr. told me it was time for a mammogram. what better time to do it than october! this is my second one, my first one was about 5 years ago so that i would have a baseline when i got a mammogram or if I ever found anything. besides monthly self breast exams (which i will admit i forget about) this is the best thing you can do for your health to fight against breast cancer!
it is really simple and easy. i was there for 30 min. with a wonderfully nice tech and it does not hurt. the hard squishing last maybe 10 seconds. i thought i would leave you with a little humor but this is the most serious matter. everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer. if you are 40 or over make your appt. for a mammogram today!!

The guy w/the box looks so legit. Laughed at the cartoon - hopefully one day there will be something way less painful. Glad you got yours and all is well!
Funny cartoon. Why do they have to squish them? Wish there was another technique. I've never gotten one but have had an ultrasound. Ended up with a lumpectamy and luckily it was benign.
Yeah...maybe not with the box guy.
