around the campfire

the first night i got to st. Louis, my parent's friends invited us out to their house for a bonfire. they live on some property and have horses.
we had dinner then roasted marshmallows, they were giant marshmallows, like double the size of a regular marshmallow. YUM.

my dad
my perfect marshmallow. slow roasted carefully! you don't just stick them in the fire, catch them on fire, then blow it out and eat it- Mom. this one did get a little toasty on top:)
it was dark but i had to go up and see the horses. kiley took riding lessons from grace when she was in middle school.
kiley remember dakota, this is him. when we left he was a tiny little foal
this is kiley with my dad and Casey when we were home a few years ago.

here's Casey now.
and Red.
wish i could live somewhere to have a horse but it is fun to go visit these guys!

Ohhh...I know just what that weather feels like! Sometimes I really miss fall, and friends with horses. I'm so glad you got to go back.
