we went all over manhattan today, we saw park ave. 5th ave. herald square, trump tower and so many other things that you recognize from movies and sitcoms including the soup shop that was inspiration for the soup nazi seinfeld episode. i looked up some restaurants on gluten free blogs before we left. we found one today to eat at called blooms, i felt so bad, it was not very good food. they did give me gluten free toast but i just got an omelet since the rest was just either something bunless or on lettuce. it's nice that they tell you what you can eat but i thought it was going to be like a burger on a GF bun which is what the blog said. anyway matt ordered a sausage hero which doesn't even sound like him, it was so funny, it was this huge foot long sausage on a bun loaded with onions and peppers, it was barely edible it was so large. i could not stop laughing, he said it wasn't what he thought it was, he would not let me photograph him trying to eat it. i think i will just eat whatever except for finding babycakes bakery for Gf goodies!
well the rain stopped so we decided to go out for the night. we went to SOHO to find babycakes bakery that makes only GF things. it took a while to get there on the subway and walking a ton but on the way we were on canal street, i had really wanted to go and see if they had the designer bags. well we came upon them and it was the funniest thing i have ever seen. they sell them out of suitcases so that when the cops come they can just pack it up and wheel them off. i got sucked in and bought something, not for me. matt kept telling me to make them go lower but it is so not my element, different people were yelling at you and they are looking around everywhere and i just didn't know how to bargain but matt got a decent deal i guess.it was an experience. we went to the volcom store for caleb and then found babycakes, i got a chocolate cupcake, a chocolate chip cookie, a mini brownie cupcake and a piece of banana bread . so far the cupcake was delightful! it was a fun night, very cold but at least dry!
